This wonderful medieval building formerly housed an undistinguished inter-war organ. This was replaced by a small neo-baroque instrument in 1968. This had insufficent resources for the newly-expanded music of the chapel.
The project for the new three-manual organ was supervised by an AIOA-accredited adviser. The result is the first instrument in the UK by the distinguished American organ builder Lynn Dobson.
The new organ has been highly acclaimed, especially for the design of its distinctive organ case.
